Biography:
Jason Wellings is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and an attorney-at-law in California. His experience lies in civil litigation, and commercial work.
He has a wide experience of litigating matters including will/boundary/property disputes, medical malpractice, personal injury, commercial disputes, insurance law and multiparty construction site disputes. All undertaken from both the plaintiff and defendant side.
Commercial work has included negotiating contracts for police/military contractors. This includes dealing with highly sensitive information and intellectual property, Department of Defense compliance, non-disclosure agreements, distribution agreements and advising overseas companies setting up in California, sports and media law.
He currently represents a number of Paralympic and Olympic athletes including Jeff Henderson- Gold Medalist- Long Jump- Rio Olympics, Paralympian Guide Runner Jerome Avery-4 time Paralympic medalist 100m, David Brown-Paralympic 100m T11 Gold Medalist/world record holder, Lex Gillette-3 time Long Jump Paralympic Medalist and World Champion.
Jason completed a masters in law with a concentration in intellectual property at the University of San Diego.
From 2001-2015, as a dual national, Jason represented the USA at field hockey and competed in 2 Pan American Games, 1 Pan American Cup, 3 Pan American Indoor Championships, 1 Olympic Qualifier and 1 Indoor World Cup.
Outside of the law Jason established a field hockey business distributing products on behalf of adidas in the USA and Canada, which has now become one of the market leaders in the sport.
